Bitcoin Hunt: The Chase (2022)

We masterminded two Bitcoin Hunt campaigns for Southampton FC and their former brand partner Each offering a unique twist on fan engagement and providing education about cryptocurrency.

Tasked with making crypto relatable to football fans, we shunned complex jargon and created a once-in-a-lifetime treasure hunt experience for Southampton FC fans instead. The campaign unfolded both digitally and physically. Starting with a specially-developed mobile game designed around classic SFC kits, and culminating in a gripping live event at St Mary’s Stadium. Eight finalists from earlier rounds faced off in a real-life showdown. With 32,000 spectators watching. The contest ended with one ecstatic fan winning a Bitcoin worth £30,000.

Bitcoin Hunt 2.0: The Locker (2023)

Building on the hit from the previous year, Bitcoin Hunt 2.0, dubbed ‘The Locker’, raised the bar. and SFC sought to cement trust in technology and deepen engagement with Bitcoin. This iteration evolved into a crypto-themed gameshow set in the iconic St Mary’s Stadium, offering fans a shot at another Bitcoin prize. After a competitive call-to-action phase, three fans were selected to enter The Locker – a series of branded challenges set in the home dressing room. But after a series of crypto inspired challenges, only one fan came out a winner. The successful campaign racked up 6.8 million video plays and 11.5 million impressions via age-gated content, capturing global attention.
