About The Role 

As a Junior Creative at Formidable, you will assist the creative process: supporting with the conceptualising and ideating for existing clients, as well as supporting with new business pitches and executing creative work. You will be working in a fast-paced environment and will support with delivering innovative, social-first ideas to impress our retained clients and to win new business pitches. 

Key responsibilities 

Delivery 

  • Support on the creative conceptualisation & ideation for a range of global clients across various social platforms 
  • Suggest creative ideas for video content, understanding what works on different social platforms and why 
  • Support with the creation of decks and presentations for internal and external projects, helping to communicate the ideas that have been created in response to the clients brief 
  • Support with the execution of innovative concepts and ideas in response to briefs, including copywriting 
  • Confidently support with the presentation & pitch to clients both online and in person, acting as an ambassador for the agency and showcasing the work prepared by the team 
  • Actively monitor social content, trends, and creators across platforms to inspire creative ideas that are current and relevant 
  • Collaborate effectively with our internal and external teams; should that be strategy & planning, project management, creative and design, directors, or editors 
  • Produce high quality work that meets the clients’ briefs and exceeds clients’ expectations 
  • Be highly motivated and self-driven to help us continue to develop our creative practices 
  • Be proactive in conducting research to gain a full understanding of the client’s industry to gain the competitive advantage when suggesting creative solutions

  • Foster good relationships with all internal departments and cross-functional teams 
  • Support with the facilitation of effective communication across project teams 
  • Be flexible and adaptable to circumstances, proposing innovative and creative solutions 
  • Be able to work, where necessary, on your own and/or within a team environment, acting as a team player, supporting colleagues where required and appropriate 
  • Be self-driven in actively learning and applying new skills 
  • Regularly review and keep up to date with competitors’ activities, focusing on the latest trends and share inspirational updates with the team 
  • Become familiar with Formidable’s brand, culture, values, and existing business procedures and ensure that you are acting within these at all times 
  • Act as an ambassador to the agency both internally and externally 

Undertake any other task, deemed to be appropriate to this role, as directed by a member of the management team. 

About You 

The Junior Creative is expected to have the following skills and knowledge: 

  • Either an education within communication or formal training within a reputable agency, having gained experience in a team devising and executing successful campaigns and content across multiple social platforms 
  • A portfolio of ideas and concepts which showcase your creative thought process 
  • You’ll need a brilliant creative mind and the energy and passion for creating innovative and eye-catching creative work 
  • Social and tech savvy, with a broad understanding of social media content creation across all channels 
  • Confident in presenting ideas both internally and externally, articulating the concept clearly and coherently 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Strong social-first copywriting skills 
  • Knowledge of social best-practises and ability to apply these to client work 
  • A great team player and proactive approach to problem solving

About The Role

As Social Strategist at Formidable, your role is to develop the social strategy and guide creative strategy for industry-leading social campaigns for global brands. From inspiring fresh, innovative ideas and solutions for our clients, to growing our own social accounts cross-platform, you will collaborate with the Formidable creative team to drive social-first thinking and creativity. You will work across multiple briefs and projects for a range of existing clients as well as new business proposals, and provide strategic counsel internally as well as externally.

Key responsibilities:

Day to day:

  • Devise forward-thinking social strategies which will further elevate the creative team’s output
  • Identify useful data-driven trends and insights across audience, category, brand, channel and culture that support and inform pitch-winning creative responses
  • Advise on the best tools for performing research, identifying trends and collating data
  • Lead and advise on campaigns and projects across a range of social media channels, influencing the production of engaging content, analysing usage data, building client relationships, and facilitating success on social media for our clients as well as for Formidable
  • Use your current knowledge of social content across platforms to work closely with the creative team to inform and advise on social channels, trends, formats and emerging platforms so we can continue to produce content that’s relevant and of-the-moment
  • Identify key consumer trends and provide insights to the team when planning social campaigns
  • Understand each client’s vision and media target market, providing suggestions on how best to engage with different audiences across different channels
  • Play a key role in our new business pitches and client presentation process, working closely with the team on strategic plans and effective responses to briefs
  • Act as our lead voice when presenting social media strategy to clients, presenting confidently on and offline with the ability to engage with the audience and inspire those listening
  • Research and evaluate the latest tools and techniques in order to find new and better ways of measuring social media activity so that future discussions can be data led
  • Advise on metrics and KPI setting for social media campaigns
  • Identify opportunities to create reactive content in-the-moment in response to social trends, for our clients as well as for our own social channels
  • Advise on influencer-led brand campaigns, working with project managers and creatives to optimise reach, engagement and KPI targets
  • Where possible, foster direct relationships with the major social media platforms, facilitating meetings with the wider team to discuss the latest advice and opportunities
  • Work with the team to strategise Formidable’s own Instagram and TikTok – devising strategies for community and awareness, and day-to-day operations so that we can showcase the company culture and great work that is being produced by the team
  • Work directly with the Founders to ensure all social media channels optimally represent the brand to a qualitative and thorough standard
  • Drive engagement by working with the wider team to create social-first content that resonates with our clients and our audience
  • Understand Formidable’s unique brand positioning and company values, and stay true to brand equity through all social content

Strategy and Commercial Awareness

  • Devise forward-thinking social media strategies which will further elevate the team’s output and support our clients
  • Nurture and develop key business relationships with contacts and stakeholders at relevant levels within a client’s business to uncover opportunities
  • Regularly review competitors’ activities, keeping up to date with the latest trends sharing any inspirational updates with the wider team
  • Be pro-active to shifting social media trends and consumer sentiment ensuring that the work produced by the team is best-in-class and innovative

  • Lead Formidable’s standards and best practice in terms of social-first strategies and tactics
  • Champion a positive team environment that facilitates mutual respect, collaboration and quality and instils the agency’s values in the team

About You

The Social Strategist is expected to have the following skills and knowledge:

  • Social and tech savvy, with a deep and broad understanding of social media content creation and community building across all channels
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Avid user of TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Threads and Snapchat
  • Understanding of various social strategic frameworks and analytical tools
  • Experienced in handling multiple briefs, maintaining quality output and creative responsibilities across clients
  • Strong understanding of algorithms and search
  • Strong social-first copy/caption writing skills across all social platforms
  • Experienced in marketing tracking and reporting of social media platforms
  • Experienced with influencer marketing and influencer led brand campaigns
  • Good presentation skills
  • Network of industry contacts including social platforms, suppliers and other partners
  • A great team player, with experience of working alongside creative departments
