At the start of 2020, a group of mates got back together in a pub. A familiar setting for them, reminiscing about their misspent youth in the mid-noughties. Two sat in front of a camera, enjoying a couple of pints and a random, meandering chat ensued. As one would commonly expect in this scenario.
This was how one of the UK’s top comedy podcasts started. Two Pints with Will & Ralf. We had no idea what would happen in the immediate aftermath of that first shoot. But as the world slowed down due to the pandemic, our output ramped up.
The series of recordings that followed has now delivered a cumulative 60 million views across all platforms, 3 million audio downloads and a sold out 17-date live tour.
Two Pints with Will & Ralf has been a fun-filled first foray into finding and growing a podcast audience from scratch. We found and engaged the sponsors, and we tested a variety of different ways of delivering content to promote the brand across the social media landscape. This hugely successful endeavour has helped us sharpen skills we now apply to our work with brand clients. It’s been a thoroughly enjoyable journey with good friends.
