“Your mission, should you choose to accept it…”: develop an entertaining social video format featuring top influencers to help grow the nascent Amazon UK Instagram channel.
It was an exciting mission, so of course we accepted! We developed the idea of a challenge-based series that could be safely produced during the pandemic lockdown, based on the concept of surprise Amazon deliveries. In each episode an Amazon box would arrive at the home of a social media creator. Our creator had no idea what was inside and, upon opening the box, would find not only an unexpected gift from Amazon but also a fun challenge to undertake with that item.
Influencers including Josh Denzel, Jack Fowler, Steph Elswood, Ashley Banjo and This Girl Can Organise shot a series of entertaining, silly and heartwarming challenges, all with the Amazon brand at their heart. The video posts are some of the best-performing content on the channel, introducing new audiences and helping to grow Amazon UK’s following.
